Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and evaluate them for clarity, accuracy, and overall quality.
- Identify issues such as background noise, distortion, mispronunciations, or unnatural pacing.
- Verify that transcriptions match audio content accurately.
- Provide structured, detailed feedback on each recording using evaluation tools.
- Work through batches of audio independently and at your own pace.
- Flag edge cases or inconsistencies that could affect AI training data quality.
Required skills
- Strong listening skills with the ability to detect subtle audio differences.
- Detail-oriented with a consistent and objective approach to quality judgment.
- Self-motivated and reliable — you follow through on task-based work independently.
- Comfortable using audio playback tools and online evaluation interfaces.
Preferred skills
- Experience in music, podcasting, voice acting, or audio production.
- Familiarity with transcription or captioning work.
- Background in quality assurance or data annotation.
Experience and education
- No prior audio engineering or AI experience required.
Equipment requirements
Access to headphones or earbuds for accurate audio assessment.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.

Compensation details
$40–$120 per hour.
