Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, properly formatted written text.
- Navigate a variety of accents, speaking speeds, and audio quality levels with patience and precision.
- Apply consistent formatting, punctuation, and style guidelines across all transcriptions.
- Flag unclear or inaudible segments and note speaker changes where relevant.
- Meet quality benchmarks and turnaround targets for each assigned batch.
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
Required skills
- A strong, attentive listener who picks up on nuance and detail.
- Accurate and efficient typist comfortable working at pace.
- Patient when working through challenging audio — accents, background noise, overlapping speakers.
- Able to follow structured guidelines and apply them consistently.
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently.
Preferred skills
- Prior experience with transcription tools or audio software.
- Familiarity with style guides or editorial formatting standards.
- Background in journalism, linguistics, or content production.
- Experience working with diverse accents or multilingual audio.
Experience and education
- No prior transcription or AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.

Compensation details
$40–$120 per hour.
