What to know
About Meridial by Invisible Technologies
Meridial is the expert contractor network operated by Invisible Technologies. Previously known as the Invisible Expert Marketplace, it connects professionals with projects where their knowledge is used to train, test and improve AI systems.
Invisible works directly with businesses and AI developers, while Meridial recruits and manages the specialists who contribute to these projects. This can include professionals in fields such as languages, science, law, finance, coding and safety. Invisible says its teams have contributed to the training of more than 80% of the world’s leading AI models.
AI data training work at Meridial
The work depends heavily on your background. Meridial recruits experts in areas such as languages, writing, coding, law, finance, insurance, business, education, science and safety. Some opportunities are also open to recent graduates or generalists who do not have previous AI experience.
Typical tasks can include reviewing AI answers, checking facts and reasoning, finding mistakes, comparing responses, labeling information and writing clear feedback. You may also create questions or tests for an AI model, evaluate safety issues or explain how a professional would handle a real-world situation.
The current Meridial project board shows how broad the work can be. Recent listings have included projects for language specialists, business professionals, police officers, insurance experts, programmers, audio specialists and many other subject-matter experts.
What is it like to work at Meridial by Invisible Technologies?
Meridial describes its experts as independent contractors rather than employees. You normally provide your own secure computer and internet connection, handle your own taxes and do not receive employee benefits such as paid time off or health insurance.
Most AI training opportunities are remote, but eligibility varies by project. Some are advertised worldwide, while others are limited to a particular country, language, location or device type. On its student and graduate information page, Meridial says there are no minimum or maximum working hours and that you can manage your own schedule. However, requirements can still differ between assignments, and applications may ask how many hours you are available each week.
Joining the network does not guarantee paid work. Meridial reviews your profile against current project needs and sends an invitation when your skills match. Your profile remains active if there is no immediate match, which means gaps between projects are possible.
Pay also varies. Meridial says your rate is confirmed before you begin and that payments are issued directly. Current listings commonly show broad ranges such as $6 to $65 per hour, while some projects advertise $20 per hour or rates of up to $100 for specific expertise.
Recent developments and media coverage
One recent development is Invisible’s agreement to acquire technical-assessment company WeCP, announced in March 2026. Invisible said WeCP’s assessment library would be integrated into Meridial to improve how specialist knowledge is verified.
Application process at Meridial by Invisible Technologies
You can start by choosing an open project or joining the general Meridial network. The application usually asks for your CV, education, languages, main skills, location and sometimes your weekly availability and preferred hourly rate.
Meridial’s application overview describes several verification stages. These can include confirming your email, verifying your identity, checking your aptitude and completing a workflow evaluation. A workflow evaluation is a practical test of whether you can follow the instructions and complete the type of task used on a project.
If you pass, your profile is activated in the network. Meridial says qualified students and graduates can sometimes begin reviewing project invitations within 48 hours, but this is not guaranteed. When a suitable project becomes available, you receive its details and can accept or decline it.
