About the role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your schedule and work as much or as little as suits you, between 10 and 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Design challenging problems across core EE domains — circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, VLSI, and control systems — that push AI models to their limits.
- Author gold-standard solutions with rigorous, step-by-step technical reasoning that AI uses as a benchmark for learning.
- Audit AI-generated outputs including circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and code for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.).
- Identify and correct reasoning failures in AI responses, providing structured feedback that improves how the model thinks through engineering challenges.
- Work asynchronously and independently on your own schedule — no meetings required.
Required skills
- Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or RF engineering.
- Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of precision when working with equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote, async environment.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or evaluation systems.
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB, SPICE, or similar.
- Background in engineering standards bodies or standards-compliant design.
Experience and education
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.

Compensation details
$35–$60 per hour.
