Responsibilities
- Design challenging, rigorous physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and more.
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate structured reasoning.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy and quality of reasoning.
- Identify gaps in AI understanding and provide expert feedback to improve model performance.
- Collaborate with researchers to develop and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics topics.
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
Required skills
- Strong problem-solving ability across advanced physics domains.
- Able to communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely in writing.
- Detail-oriented with a structured, analytical approach to feedback.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems.
- Familiarity with how large language models work.
- Background spanning multiple physics subfields.
Experience and education
- Currently pursuing or holding a Master's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
Eligibility
Work arrangement: Fully remote
Eligible regions: Manchester
Compensation details
$35–$55 per hour.
