Responsibilities
- Design Advanced Problems — Craft challenging biochemistry problems spanning nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance.
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop detailed, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for high-level scientific reasoning in AI systems.
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for accuracy, safety, and adherence to scientific standards.
- Refine AI Reasoning — Identify and document logical errors in AI responses — such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied biological principles — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.
Required skills
- Deep Domain Knowledge — Strong expertise in one or more core areas such as structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, or bioinformatics.
- Clear Technical Communicator — Able to translate complex biological and chemical concepts into precise, well-structured written explanations.
- Detail-Oriented — High level of precision when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic peer review.
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
- Background in science writing, grant writing, or technical documentation.
Experience and education
- Advanced Degree — PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
