We are looking to expand our team of expert consultants with 12 PhD Atmospheric Scientists for part-time, fully-remote work supporting frontier AI research.
This role includes stress-testing leading AI models on research-level atmospheric science problems, creating and verifying complex questions and explanations in your area of expertise, and assessing whether AI-generated reasoning meets the standards of a trained atmospheric scientist.
Required skills
Hands-on experience in computational modeling, simulation, or large-scale data analysis.
Experience and education
You hold a PhD in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Climate Science, or a closely related field, and you are actively engaged in computational research.
Ideal backgrounds include
Faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and research scientists in university atmospheric science, meteorology, or climate departments.
Scientists at government agencies and national research centers such as NOAA, NASA, NCAR, or national meteorological services.
Researchers at national laboratories working on climate, Earth system, or atmospheric modeling.
Industry scientists applying atmospheric modeling in energy, renewables, insurance and reinsurance, aviation, or air quality consulting.
PhD in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Climate Science, or a closely related field.
Language requirements
Fluent English reading and writing skills.

Compensation details
$60–$100 per hour.
Projects start at $60-100 USD per hour, with top-performing experts on our platform earning $150+ USD / hour.
