We are looking to expand our team of expert consultants with 12 PhD Environmental Scientists for part-time, fully-remote work supporting frontier AI research.
This role includes stress-testing leading AI models on research-level environmental science problems, creating and verifying complex questions and explanations in your area of expertise, and assessing whether AI-generated reasoning meets the standards of a trained environmental scientist.
Required skills
Hands-on experience in computational modeling, simulation, or large-scale data analysis.
Experience and education
You hold a PhD in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field, and you are actively engaged in computational research. You build or apply quantitative models and work with large environmental datasets.
Ideal backgrounds include
Faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and research scientists in university environmental science, environmental engineering, or earth and environmental systems departments.
Scientists at government agencies such as the EPA, USGS, or equivalent national environmental and water agencies.
Researchers at national laboratories or research institutes working on environmental modeling and simulation.
Industry scientists in environmental consulting, water resources, energy, or corporate sustainability and risk analytics.
PhD in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
Language requirements
Fluent English reading and writing skills.

Compensation details
$60–$100 per hour.
Projects start at $60-80 USD per hour, with top-performing experts on our platform earning $150+ USD / hour.
