You hold a PhD in Geoscience, Geophysics, Geology, or a closely related field, and you apply computational tools in your day-to-day work.

Scientists at government agencies and surveys such as the USGS or equivalent national geological surveys.
Researchers at national laboratories working on subsurface, seismic, or geodynamic modeling.
Industry geoscientists in energy, mining, geothermal, carbon storage, or geotechnical and hazard consulting.
