About the role

Domain

Contracts & Commercial Law.

Role

In this role, you'll review contract negotiation turns and reference redlines, and assess whether the redline reflects what a competent counsel would actually do: the right issues flagged, the right positions taken, and edits made surgically.

Attorneys on a career break or working remotely/flexibly are a great fit for this role.

All offers are contingent upon a background check. We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every qualification listed above; we look for candidates who meet at least 70% of the listed qualifications.

Why Apply

  • Fully remote, flexible schedule that fits around a full-time role.
  • Work with a fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed AI training data company.

Responsibilities

  • Review contract negotiation transcripts and reference redlines.
  • Assess whether each redline reflects the judgment a competent counsel would exercise, including the right issues flagged, the right positions taken, and edits made surgically.
  • Provide clear, structured written feedback on redline quality.

Required skills

  • Ability to evaluate contract redlines and communicate clear, structured written judgments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience negotiating and redlining commercial contracts (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, DPAs, vendor/SaaS agreements, or similar) at a law firm, private company, or municipality.
  • US JD (Juris Doctor) from an accredited US law school.
  • Based in the United States.

Preferred skills

  • Experience negotiating SaaS, MSA, or other technology commercial agreements.
  • Experience in a fast-paced in-house, fractional GC, or high-volume contracts environment.
  • Active bar admission (practicing attorney).
