Responsibilities
- Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance.
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and reasoning.
- Audit Technical Accuracy — Evaluate AI-generated circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and code for correctness, safety, and adherence to engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, and others).
- Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws in AI-generated engineering reasoning and provide structured feedback that improves model performance.
- Work Asynchronously — Complete assignments on your own schedule with full flexibility.
Required skills
- Strong foundational expertise in one or more core domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or signal processing.
- Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and concisely in written form.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of precision when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows.
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.).
- Background in writing technical documentation or educational content.
Experience and education
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required — your engineering knowledge is what matters.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
Eligibility
Work arrangement: Fully remote
Eligible regions: Auckland
Compensation details
$35–$60 per hour.
