Responsibilities
- Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, VLSI, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance.
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation.
- Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC).
- Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws and gaps in AI-generated engineering reasoning, then provide structured feedback to help models think more like real engineers.
Required skills
- Strong foundational expertise in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, power electronics, telecommunications, signal processing, or embedded systems.
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing.
- Detail-oriented — you catch errors in equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation that others miss.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on an async, flexible schedule.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, technical content review, or evaluation systems.
- Familiarity with engineering simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.).
- Background in applied research or technical writing.
Experience and education
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
Eligibility
Work arrangement: Fully remote
Eligible regions: Boston
Compensation details
$35–$60 per hour.
