About the role

Responsibilities
- Author realistic economic evaluations from research question through recommendation.
- Write reference answers with the methodological reasoning behind each choice.
- Grade model output for analytical soundness and defensibility of assumptions.
- Flag analyses that read plausibly but would mislead a payer or a regulator.
Required skills
- Graduate degree (MS, MPH or PhD) in health economics, economics, public health, epidemiology or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of professional or research experience in health economics or outcomes research.
- Hands-on experience building economic models.
- Clear written English for documenting methodological reasoning.
- Able to commit at least 10 hours per week.
Preferred skills
- Experience precepting NP students or teaching clinical content.
- DNP or an additional specialty certification.
- Prior chart review, utilization review, or QA experience.
- ISPOR membership, conference presentations, or peer reviewed publications applying economic evaluation methods.
- Experience preparing submissions for NICE, ICER, CADTH, PBAC, IQWiG or AMCP.
- Hands-on modelling in R, TreeAge, Excel and VBA, Stata or SAS.
- Work with claims or EHR databases such as MarketScan, Optum, IQVIA, Medicare, SEER-Medicare or Flatiron.
Experience and education
- Graduate degree in health economics, economics, public health, epidemiology or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional or research experience in health economics or outcomes research.
- Depth in your area: cost-effectiveness modelling, budget impact, real world evidence, or HTA submissions.
- You can write methodological reasoning clearly enough for another economist to follow it.

At least 10 hours per week.

Compensation details
$120 per hour.
