You will assess solutions for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and adherence to the prompt; identify errors in IP issue spotting, rights analysis, infringement/clearance logic, licensing considerations, and procedural steps; fact-check IP concepts and (when required) citations; write high-quality explanations and model answers that demonstrate correct, risk-aware reasoning; and rate and compare multiple responses based on correctness and reasoning quality. This role is with SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, delivering training data for many of the world’s largest AI companies and foundation-model labs. • Develop AI Training Content: Create detailed prompts and gold-standard IP outputs (issue analyses, clause rewrites, checklists, policy-style guidance, scenario walkthroughs).
• Optimize AI Performance: Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve correctness, defensibility, clarity, and risk awareness.
• Ensure Model Integrity: Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, misleading certainty, confidentiality risks, and bias; validate reliability across IP scenarios.

• JD/LLB (or equivalent) and active bar membership (or eligibility) in at least one jurisdiction; registration to practice before a patent office is a plus (for patent-focused work).
• 5+ years of professional experience in IP law (law firm, in-house, or government), spanning one or more areas: copyright, trademark, patent, trade secrets, or licensing.
• Strong IP issue-spotting and structured analysis skills (rights → scope → ownership → infringement/defenses → remedies/next steps).
• Experience with IP agreements and workflows: assignments, NDAs, license agreements, work-for-hire, open-source licensing review, creator/vendor contracts.
• Comfort assessing practical risk: likelihood of confusion (trademarks), substantial similarity/defenses (copyright), novelty/non-obviousness basics (patents), and confidentiality measures (trade secrets).
• Excellent attention to detail when identifying missing assumptions, jurisdictional pitfalls, overconfident claims, or unsafe drafting; minimum C1 English proficiency.
• Ability to communicate complex IP concepts to non-lawyers in clear, plain language.
• Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones.
• Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, knowledge management, legal editorial QA, or policy drafting is strongly preferred.
