About the role
We are looking to expand our team of expert consultants with talented PhD French Studies experts for immediate part-time REMOTE work, supporting cutting-edge AI research.
Do you hold a PhD in French literature, Francophone studies, French cinema, or French language and culture? Are you looking to supplement your income with well-paying, fully-remote freelance projects at the world's top AI research and frontier model companies?
French studies projects start at $50 to $55 USD / hour for newly approved experts and scale upwards of $100 USD / hour for our highest performing experts.

Required skills
- You possess exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex cultural and literary concepts clearly to both expert and non-expert audiences.
Experience and education
- You have a PhD in French literature, Francophone studies, French cinema, French language and culture, or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- You have a minimum of 3 years of academic or professional experience in French studies at a well-regarded organization.
Language requirements
- You are a native or fluent English speaker and can confidently write at the university level.

Compensation details
$50–$55 per hour.
- Projects start at $50-55 USD / hour.
- Payment: Projects are paid hourly and start at $50-55 USD / hour for newly approved experts. You will be paid bi-weekly.
