We're hiring video editors as contractors to author and grade the post production scenarios those evaluations run on, with motion graphics work folded in for editors who have it.

Responsibilities
- Author realistic post production scenarios from raw footage through final cut, the kind a working editor would actually receive.
- Write reference critiques with the editorial reasoning behind each cut, from pacing and continuity to color and sound.
- Grade generated video for continuity, pacing, motion quality, and whether it would survive a client review.
- Demonstrate timeline workflows in Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects the way editors actually work.
- Author realistic post production scenarios from raw footage through final cut.
- Write reference critiques with the editorial reasoning behind each cut.
- Grade generated video for continuity, pacing, and visual quality.
- Demonstrate timeline and motion workflows the way a working editor actually uses them.
Required skills
- Hands on depth in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut.
- A reel or portfolio of delivered work.
Preferred skills
- Motion graphics or 2D and 3D animation depth in After Effects, Cinema 4D, or Blender.
- Color grading or sound design experience.
- Broadcast, agency, or high volume social content background.
Experience and education
- Video editors and post production professionals with at least two years of delivered work and a reel to show.
- Editors who live in a professional NLE and can articulate why a cut works, not just make it.
- Motion designers and animators are welcome here too, After Effects, Cinema 4D, or Blender depth is a plus on top of editing craft.
- People with strong written English who can turn editorial instinct into clear, teachable reasoning.
- 2+ years of professional video editing or post production experience.

Assessment requirements

Written assessment. You may be asked to take a written assessment for further placement.
Onboarding. Sign the contractor agreement, connect Stripe, and get platform access.
Project match. You're matched to live work in your specialty, usually within a week of onboarding.
Schedule details
Fully remote, fully async. No fixed hours.
Minimum 10 hours per week, no maximum. Scale up or down week to week.
Able to commit at least 10 hours per week.
Time Commitment: 10 hours/week.
Start Date: ASAP.
End Date: Ongoing.

Compensation details
- $50 - $90/hr.
- $50 to $90/hr, paid weekly via Stripe. Your rate is set from your experience, not negotiated down after you start.
