Responsibilities
- Record clear, natural voice samples following provided scripts and conversation prompts.
- Vary your tone, pacing, and delivery style as directed to capture a range of speech patterns.
- Ensure recordings are clean and free of background noise.
- Complete metadata forms describing each recording session.
- Participate in both scripted reading sessions and natural conversational recordings.
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule.
Required skills
- Clear, natural speaking voice — no professional training required.
- Comfortable reading aloud and being recorded.
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently.
Preferred skills
- Experience in podcasting, broadcasting, teaching, customer service, or any role that involves regular speaking.
- Access to a dedicated microphone or audio recording equipment.
- Familiarity with basic audio recording apps or tools.
- A distinctive accent, regional dialect, or bilingual speech pattern.
Experience and education
- No voice acting, audio production, or AI experience required.
Equipment requirements
Access to a quiet recording environment at home or elsewhere.
A smartphone with a decent microphone or any basic recording setup.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
