Responsibilities
Transcribe audio recordings into accurate written text following clear, structured guidelines.
Handle a variety of speakers, accents, speeds, and audio quality levels.
Apply consistent formatting, punctuation, and style rules across all transcriptions.
Flag unclear or inaudible segments and note speaker changes where relevant.
Meet quality and turnaround targets for each assigned batch.
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
Required skills
A strong, attentive listener with a sharp ear for detail.
Accurate and reasonably fast typist.
Patient and methodical when working through challenging audio — accents, background noise, overlapping speech.
Comfortable following detailed written guidelines and applying them consistently.
Self-motivated and reliable when working independently.
Preferred skills
Prior experience with transcription tools or platforms.
Familiarity with a range of English accents or dialects.
Background in journalism, captioning, or content production.
