Responsibilities
- Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced biochemistry questions across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance.
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for high-level scientific reasoning in AI systems.
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy and adherence to scientific standards.
- Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied biochemical principles, and provide structured feedback to improve model accuracy.
- Work Independently — Complete assignments asynchronously on your own schedule.
Required skills
- Deep foundational knowledge in one or more areas: structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or molecular genetics.
- Able to communicate complex biological and chemical concepts clearly in written form.
- Highly detail-oriented when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or scientific review workflows.
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
- Background in science writing, technical editing, or research communication.
Experience and education
- Holds a PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.

Work arrangement: Fully remote
Eligible regions: Adelaide
Compensation details
$35–$70 per hour.
