Responsibilities
- Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains including circuit analysis, power systems, electromagnetics, signal processing, and control systems to rigorously test AI performance.
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Develop detailed, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as the ground-truth benchmark for AI learning and reasoning.
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and technical code for accuracy, safety, and adherence to industry standards (IEEE, NEC, and others).
- Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws and reasoning errors in AI responses, then provide structured feedback that helps the model think more like an expert engineer.
- Work Asynchronously — Complete tasks independently on a schedule that works for you.
Required skills
- Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or embedded systems.
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing.
- Highly detail-oriented when working with mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or quality evaluation.
- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.).
- Knowledge of engineering standards and safety requirements.
Experience and education
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
Eligibility
Work arrangement: Fully remote
Eligible regions: Chicago
Compensation details
$35–$60 per hour.
