About the role

Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to embedded systems to power electronics.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You choose your hours and work at your own pace.

Why Join Us

  • Work on some of the most advanced AI models being developed today.
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and how much you want.
  • Freelance autonomy with the backing of a structured, collaborative team.
  • Gain rare insight into how large language models are trained and evaluated.
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch.

Responsibilities

  • Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems across domains like circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, and electromagnetics to stress-test AI performance.
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation.
  • Audit AI Outputs — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC).
  • Improve AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors and flawed assumptions in AI-generated responses, then provide structured feedback to help models reason more accurately.
  • Document Failure Modes — Record how and where AI breaks down on complex engineering tasks so those gaps can be systematically addressed.

Required skills

  • Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or signal processing.
  • Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing.
  • Detail-oriented — you catch errors in equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation that others miss.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on an asynchronous schedule.

Preferred skills

  • Experience with data annotation, technical content creation, or evaluation workflows.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, SPICE, LabVIEW).
  • Background in academic research or technical writing.

Experience and education

  • Holds or is pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • No prior AI experience required.

Schedule details
