About the role
You will assess AI-generated music across a wide range of genres and rate it against detailed quality standards, working in Thai and English.
Project Timeline
- Start date: immediate.
- Duration: up to 6 months.
- Commitment: flexible. Most experts work around 20 hours per week; there is no cap.
- Compensation: this role is currently paid hourly. The pay structure may move to per-task during the project; if it does, your effective hourly rate will stay the same.

Contract and Payment Terms
- You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
- This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.
- Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
- Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
Responsibilities
- Compare AI-generated songs head-to-head on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality.
- Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics.
- Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy.
Required skills
- Native or near-native proficiency in Thai, and the ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
- 2+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or mixing engineer.
- Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.
Preferred skills
- Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition.
- Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work.
- Broad familiarity with contemporary Thai genres, sub-genres, and artists.

Work arrangement: Fully remote

Compensation details
$18 per hour.
- Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
