Responsibilities
- Design challenging, advanced physics problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more.
- Develop rigorous, step-by-step solutions with clear logical reasoning.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy and quality of reasoning.
- Identify gaps, errors, and weaknesses in how AI models approach physics problems.
- Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics topics.
- Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves model performance.
Required skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced physics domains.
- Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly in writing.
- Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to evaluation.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously.
Preferred skills
- Experience in academic tutoring, curriculum design, or scientific writing.
- Familiarity with data annotation or evaluation workflows.
- Exposure to machine learning concepts or AI research environments.
Experience and education
- Currently pursuing or holding a Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
Eligibility
Work arrangement: Fully remote
Eligible regions: Boston
Compensation details
$35–$55 per hour.
