This is not a traditional full-time technical writing, documentation, or content development role. Instead, you'll apply your real-world experience creating, editing, and refining technical documentation to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI produce clearer, more accurate, and user-friendly technical writing. Your expertise will help improve AI's understanding of technical accuracy, documentation structure, clarity, consistency, voice, tone, and adherence to professional writing standards.

This is an ongoing, project-based opportunity that can be done alongside your primary employment.

Placement depends on current project needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they become available.

• This project involves using your professional experience and hands-on knowledge of the tools you use in your daily work to create expert-level training data and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance. No prior AI experience required.

• 2+ years of experience as a technical writer, product marketer, or in a related writing or editorial role.

• Proven experience creating original technical content, editing drafts, and refining voice and tone for diverse audiences.

• Exceptional written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently while following detailed written guidelines.

• Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to handling sensitive or proprietary information with discretion.

• No prior AI or technical background required.

Work arrangement: Fully remote

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects on Handshake AI. Work with your Designated School Official to determine your eligibility.  If your school requires a CPT course, Handshake AI may not meet your school’s requirements. STEM OPT is not supported.
