Responsibilities
- Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced biochemistry questions and scenarios across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance.
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions and benchmark responses that guide AI reasoning in high-level scientific contexts.
- Audit AI Outputs — Review AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical reasoning for technical accuracy, logical consistency, and adherence to scientific standards.
- Identify and Correct Reasoning Errors — Spot flaws such as incorrect stoichiometry, misunderstood stereochemistry, or faulty mechanistic reasoning, and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.
- Work Independently — Complete task-based assignments on your own schedule, asynchronously and remotely.
Required skills
- Strong foundational expertise in areas such as enzymology, structural biology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or molecular genetics.
- Ability to communicate complex biological and chemical concepts clearly and precisely in written form.
- High attention to detail when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or scientific review workflows.
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
- Background in science writing, curriculum development, or technical editing.
Experience and education
- PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.

Eligible regions: Melbourne
Compensation details
$35–$70 per hour.
