Responsibilities

  • Design challenging, graduate-level biology questions to rigorously test AI reasoning and knowledge.
  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with scientifically sound logic and explanations.
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth, and quality of scientific reasoning.
  • Identify weaknesses in AI outputs and provide structured, actionable feedback.
  • Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Masters-level biology topics.
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.

Required skills

  • Strong command of advanced biology concepts across multiple domains (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, physiology, ecology, microbiology).
  • Able to break down complex scientific ideas into clear, precise written explanations.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to scientific accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.

Preferred skills

  • Experience in academic writing, tutoring, or curriculum development.
  • Background in data annotation, quality evaluation, or research methodology.
  • Familiarity with AI tools or language model workflows.

Experience and education

  • Pursuing or holding a Master's degree (or higher) in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field.
  • No prior AI experience required.

Schedule details

10–40 hours per week.

Work arrangement: Fully remote

Eligible regions: Toronto

Compensation details

$35–$55 per hour.
