Responsibilities
- Read and evaluate AI-generated creative writing across genres — fiction, poetry, personal essays, satire, and more.
- Assess writing for quality, originality, voice, tone, coherence, and emotional resonance.
- Identify weaknesses such as clichés, unnatural phrasing, tonal inconsistencies, and logical gaps.
- Provide clear, constructive written feedback that helps AI systems produce more compelling and authentic writing.
- Rate outputs using structured evaluation frameworks while adding nuanced qualitative commentary.
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
Required skills
- A genuine lover of reading and writing — you have strong opinions about what good writing looks and feels like.
- Able to evaluate writing quality across styles and genres with thoughtful, articulate feedback.
- Comfortable working through substantial volumes of text with consistency and focus.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated when working independently.
Preferred skills
- Background in creative writing, English literature, journalism, or communications.
- Experience with editing, beta reading, or writing workshops.
- Familiarity with a range of literary genres and styles.
- Prior experience with content evaluation or quality assurance workflows.
Experience and education
- No prior publishing, editing, or AI experience required.
Language requirements
- Strong command of English language, grammar, and style.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
