Responsibilities
- Watch short film or video clips and break them down into structured, beat-by-beat visual descriptions.
- Describe camera movement, framing, shot composition, pacing, blocking, and mood.
- Communicate emotional tone and atmosphere using purely visual indicators — no dialogue references.
- Follow standardized formatting guidelines to produce consistent, high-quality scene summaries.
- Re-watch clips as needed to capture accurate and complete details.
- Maintain quality and consistency across a high volume of scene descriptions.
Required skills
- Genuinely interested in film, television, or visual storytelling.
- Able to articulate what you see on screen in clear, precise, structured writing.
- Detail-oriented and thorough — you notice what others miss.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own time.
Preferred skills
- Background in film studies, photography, cinematography, or media arts.
- Experience writing scripts, shot lists, or production documents.
- Familiarity with visual storytelling concepts such as mise-en-scène, montage, or shot types.
Experience and education
- No professional film, production, or screenwriting experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.

Compensation details
$40–$120 per hour.
