Responsibilities
- Design challenging biology questions and problems to rigorously test AI performance.
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions grounded in scientific reasoning.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning.
- Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate to Master's-level biology topics.
- Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves AI model outputs.
Required skills
- Strong scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills across advanced biology domains.
- Able to communicate complex ideas clearly and precisely in writing.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and rigor.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or evaluation workflows.
- Familiarity with large language models or AI research environments.
- Background spanning multiple biology subdisciplines (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, physiology).
Experience and education
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required — we'll get you up to speed.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
Eligibility
Work arrangement: Fully remote
Eligible regions: Edmonton
Compensation details
$35–$55 per hour.
