Responsibilities
- Write detailed, accurate descriptions of a wide variety of images — including photos, illustrations, diagrams, charts, and more.
- Identify and articulate key visual elements such as objects, scenes, actions, spatial relationships, and context.
- Follow structured guidelines to ensure consistency in description format, depth, and style.
- Maintain high accuracy and quality standards across large batches of images.
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
Required skills
- Strong observational skills — you notice the details others miss.
- Comfortable working through structured, task-based assignments.
- Reliable and consistent when maintaining quality at scale.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without close supervision.
Preferred skills
- Background in writing, journalism, editing, or communications.
- Experience with visual media, graphic design, or content creation.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards or alt-text writing.
Experience and education
- No photography, art, or AI experience required.
Language requirements
- Clear, descriptive writing ability in English.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.

Compensation details
$40–$120 per hour.
