Responsibilities
- Design Expert-Level Problems — Craft advanced biochemistry challenges spanning nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, and drug-target interactions to rigorously stress-test AI performance.
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step scientific responses that serve as gold-standard benchmarks for AI reasoning in life sciences.
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical derivations for scientific accuracy, logical consistency, and adherence to established standards.
- Refine AI Reasoning — Identify and document errors in AI thinking — such as flawed stoichiometry, incorrect stereochemistry, or misapplied biological principles — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.
Required skills
- Deep Domain Knowledge: Strong command of structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, molecular genetics, or bioinformatics.
- Scientific Writing Skills: Ability to communicate complex biochemical and chemical concepts clearly, precisely, and concisely in writing.
- Exceptional Attention to Detail: High accuracy when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, reaction mechanisms, and experimental protocols.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, data quality assurance, or evaluation systems.
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
- Background in scientific writing, peer review, or curriculum development.
Experience and education
- Advanced Degree: PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related discipline.
- No prior AI or machine learning experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.

Eligible regions: Edmonton
Compensation details
$35–$70 per hour.
