Responsibilities
- Design Advanced Problems — Create challenging biochemistry problems across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to rigorously stress-test AI performance.
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as gold-standard benchmarks for AI scientific reasoning.
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical derivations for technical accuracy and adherence to scientific standards.
- Identify Reasoning Failures — Spot logical errors in AI reasoning — such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied enzyme kinetics — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.
Required skills
- Deep Domain Knowledge: Strong expertise in one or more areas — structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or related disciplines.
- Clear Technical Communicator: Able to explain complex biological and chemical concepts with precision and clarity in written form.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of rigor when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental logic.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, evaluation, or quality assurance workflows.
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
- Background in scientific writing or peer review.
Experience and education
- Advanced Degree: PhD (completed or in progress) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.

Compensation details
$35–$70 per hour.
