Responsibilities
- Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced biochemistry questions spanning nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to stress-test AI reasoning.
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical responses that serve as benchmarks for high-level scientific accuracy.
- Audit AI Outputs — Review AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for correctness and adherence to scientific standards.
- Identify Reasoning Errors — Catch logical flaws such as incorrect stoichiometry, misapplied stereochemistry, or faulty metabolic logic, and provide structured feedback to improve model performance.
- Work Asynchronously — Complete tasks independently on your own schedule with no fixed hours.
Required skills
- Strong foundational expertise in areas such as enzymology, structural biology, cellular metabolism, or bioinformatics.
- Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in written form.
- High attention to detail when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Preferred skills
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or research review workflows.
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
- Background in scientific writing, peer review, or technical editing.
Experience and education
- PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
Eligibility
Work arrangement: Fully remote
Eligible regions: Perth
Compensation details
$35–$70 per hour.
