Responsibilities
- Design advanced biochemistry problems across domains such as nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance.
- Author detailed, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as gold-standard benchmarks for AI scientific reasoning.
- Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical derivations for technical accuracy and adherence to scientific standards.
- Identify reasoning errors — such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied enzyme kinetics — and provide structured feedback to improve AI outputs.
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
Required skills
- Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, or bioinformatics.
- Able to communicate highly technical biological and chemical concepts clearly and precisely in written form.
- High attention to detail when reviewing complex chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments.
Preferred skills
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems.
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST.
- Experience reviewing or writing scientific literature.
Experience and education
- Holds a PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
- No prior AI experience required.
Schedule details
10–40 hours per week.
Eligibility
Work arrangement: Fully remote
Eligible regions: Sydney
Compensation details
$35–$70 per hour.
